Plum-based fruit soup. Ingredients:
8 cups water
1 cups prunes (pitted)
1 cups dried apples
1 cups raisins
1/2 cups dried peaches
1/2 cups dried apricots
1 can/jar bing cherries (pitted)
1/2 cups sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
or: 1/2 cups flour
2 cups milk
Instructions:
Throw the water and and fruit into a pot and cook it on high-medium heat for 20 or 30 minutes.
Mix the sugar, cornstarch, and milk together in a separate bowl. Watch for lumps. Add it to the fruit. Cook it on lower heat until it's thickened; another half hour or so. Serve hot or cold (I prefer cold, especially in the summer).
