Perfect soft and chewy cookies.

Ingredients:

2 cups flour add substitute (disabled)
1/2 cups cocoa add substitute (disabled)
1/2 tsp baking soda add substitute (disabled)
1 tsp salt add substitute (disabled)
3/4 cups butter, melted add substitute (disabled)
1 cups brown sugar add substitute (disabled)
1/2 cups white sugar add substitute (disabled)
1 tsp vanilla add substitute (disabled)
1 egg add substitute (disabled)
1 egg yolk add substitute (disabled)
2 cups chocolate chips add substitute (disabled)
or: 2 cups chocolate chunks

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line with parchment paper.

Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; set aside.

In a medium bowl or mixer, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla until well blended. Beat in the egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon.

Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.

Bake for 13 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Remember, if the cookies look like they're done, they're overcooked. They should come out soft and chewy and you should not be able to move them on/off the sheet while they are still warm.
